Stock 1987 Carrera to 1973 911
I have been following Freddie’s builds for six or seven years. When he relocated his shop to Southern Oregon I had the opportunity to meet him and see his work first hand. I found his passion for Porsche equal to mine. His builds were simply stunning! We started discussing and planning the work my car needed three years ago. What was going to be a repaint gradually evolved into a full backdate project. I knew my car was in the right hands. Freddie does not cut corners. He kept me in the loop and allowed me to be involved in the build. Nearly two thousand photos document the process from stock 1987 Carrera to 1973 911. The quality of this build amazes me every time I look at the car! The fabrication was carried out to the degree that it equals or surpasses Porsche factory specs. The paint quality is beyond belief! The Metallic Silver absolutely “Pops”.
From my initial talks with Freddie to the completed project, I cannot say enough great things about him and his crew. Extraordinary craftsmen with decades of experience. They all share our passion for these cars. My car is exactly what I wanted. The quality of the final result is beyond my expectations.
If you decide on Vintage Sportscar Restorations Inc. for your Porsche, You will be thrilled with the result!

1967 Porsche 911s
"One of the best decisions I made when restoring my 1967 911S was to have Freddie Hernandez and crew at Vintage Sportscar Restorations Inc. handle the metalwork and paint. It was very gratifying to know that the work and attention to detail was being done by VSR. Freddie want above and beyond, always taking time to carefully explain what he was doing, how he was doing it and why. His attention to detail and knowledge and understanding of early Porsche cars is phenomenal. You would be hard-pressed to find a more competent and caring shop than VSR."

1967 Porsche 911s
"I am very fortunate to get my hands on a beat up '67 911S, even though it was full of rust and many lousy repairs.
I interviewed most of the West Coast shops for a full "frame off" concours metal, body and paint restoration.
Freddie's passion and enthusiasm for the early 911 was obvious and once I saw the work he had done for others I knew at once Vintage Sportscar Restorations Inc. was the place for me.
What I got from Freddie during the process was great communication and superb execution of the work. The final product is a totally rust-free and perfect "original" tub with a paint job beyond belief. The Slate Grey single stage paint is flawless, as well as the undercoating, interior and other areas finish.
This is my first full restoration project and it's off to a great start thanks to Freddie and his great crew."

1966 Porsche 911
"All the way from Switzerland, I commissioned Freddie Hernandez the restoration project of a 1966 Aga blue Porsche 911. Without having seen the car or even met Freddie, I simply trusted his reputation, his enthusiasm, and great attention to details.
I will always remember my first meeting with Freddie in Sausalito, a year later, when he unloaded, in front of us, the finished 911 from a huge truck. The car was simply perfect; the drive over the Golden Gate Bridge and our road trip to Yosemite was a dream come through.
Today, the car is spending its second life in our country house in Tuscany, Italy. Behind the wheel on twisty roads, I often think of Freddie, and wonder if I will ever be able to thank him enough."

1970 Porsche 911T
Freddie and the crew at VSR did an amazing job on my 1970 Porsche 911T. The Tangerine paint looks absolutely stunning, and it’s great knowing that the car is 100% rust free. I had considered having the work done at a local body shop, but after seeing how technical the job was I’m really glad I left it in the hands of true Porsche experts. The car looks like it just rolled off of the assembly line and is ready for another 50 years on the road.
